NestProof AI is an independent educational baby-proofing resource that helps parents and caregivers think through common household considerations and browse practical, well-reviewed product picks. We pair editorial information with an AI-assisted experience so families can move from question to answer without spending hours reading scattered forum posts. We are an educational resource, not a store. For general educational purposes only — not professional, medical, or safety advice.
Who runs NestProof AI?
NestProof AI is operated by an independent, parent-led team. We are not a venture-backed company, a product brand, or part of a larger media network. The editorial team writes, reviews, and updates the content on this site. We have no outside investors influencing what we cover.
Is NestProof AI free to use?
Yes. The website, the room-by-room guides, and the curated picks are free to read and use. Our mobile app is free to download and use as well. We support the site primarily through affiliate commissions on qualifying purchases, which never change the price you pay.

How are products selected?
Every product in our catalog is evaluated against a written set of criteria: relevant voluntary safety standards, recall history, real-world long-tail review patterns, install simplicity, renter-friendliness, and price-to-value. Do you test products yourselves?
Members of our editorial team have personally installed and used a comparable product in their own homes for the categories we cover. We are not a clinical testing lab and we do not present ourselves as one. Where independent third-party testing exists, for example from Consumer Reports or CPSC, we cross-reference it against our own use.
How does the AI guidance work?
Our app uses Google's Gemini model to turn your home context into a focused list of common considerations and related product picks. The AI does not invent products, set rankings, or override editorial picks. It surfaces items from our human-curated catalog and explains why each one might apply to your situation. AI output is general educational information, not advice.
How often are picks refreshed?
Every guide and product page is reviewed at minimum every six months, and sooner when there is a triggering event such as a CPSC recall, a manufacturer redesign, or a relevant standards update. Recalled products are removed from the catalog promptly. The Last Reviewed date on each article reflects the most recent re-confirmation by our team.

How do affiliate links work on NestProof AI?
When you click a product link on our site and complete a qualifying purchase, the retailer pays us a small commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate revenue helps keep the site free and supports the time we spend researching, writing, and updating recommendations.
Do affiliate relationships influence what you feature?
No. We do not accept payment for inclusion in the catalog, and no manufacturer or retailer can pay us to rank one product above another. Within the Amazon Associates Program, the commission rate is set by Amazon at the category level, so we have no financial incentive to steer readers toward a specific gate, lock, or outlet cover. The same product would be featured whether or not it had an affiliate program attached.
Do you accept paid placements or sponsored content?
We do not currently accept sponsored content, paid placements, or free product samples in exchange for coverage. If that ever changes, the relationship will be disclosed prominently on the affected page and clearly labeled so it is distinguishable from independent editorial coverage.

What data does NestProof AI collect?
On the website, we collect basic analytics about how pages are used, plus account information for users who sign in. In the mobile app, we store the home context you enter (rooms, safety areas, life stage details) so we can generate personalized guidance. We do not sell personal data. Is information about my child stored anywhere?
NestProof AI is intended for adult parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not require you to enter a child's name, photo, or identifying information to use the service. The home context you provide is associated with your account, not with a child profile.
How do I delete my account or request my data?
You can delete your account from the in-app settings, or email our team to request account deletion or a copy of your data. We honor requests within the timelines described in our privacy policy. For privacy-specific questions, the contact page lists the email to reach.

Do I need an account to use NestProof AI?
You can browse the website, read the guides, and view product picks without an account. An account is only needed to save personalized lists, sync across devices, or invite a partner or caregiver to share a playlist. Account creation is free.
How does onboarding work in the app?
Onboarding asks a short series of questions about your home and your child's stage, including rooms in your home, where you spend the most time, and any specific concerns such as stairs or pets. The answers shape which topics and products you see first. You can update them anytime from settings.
Can I share my playlist with a partner or caregiver?
Yes. From the playlist screen, you can invite another adult by email. They receive an invitation valid for seven days; once accepted, they can view and edit the shared playlist. You can also remove members at any time. This is useful for partners, grandparents, or nannies who help with baby-proofing decisions.

Is NestProof AI professional safety advice?
No. NestProof AI is for general educational purposes only — not professional, medical, legal, or safety advice. For installation work that affects the structure of your home or its electrical systems, consult a qualified professional.
What should I do in an emergency?
NestProof AI is not designed for emergencies. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) right away. For poisoning concerns in the United States, contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222. For ongoing concerns about your child's health or development, contact your pediatrician.
How do I report an inaccuracy or suggest a correction?
We take corrections seriously and reply to every editorial message. Email the team through our contact page, describe what you saw and where, and include a link if possible. If we agree the page is wrong, we update it and note what changed.
